Hotel Hortus is a good starting point from which to explore Amsterdam. You'll be at Artis Royal Zoo within minutes from the hotel. This large zoo, houses all kinds of different animals from all over the globe. Good public transport links allow you to be in the very heart of Amsterdam in no time. Here you can indulge yourself in the city's main shopping streets and also discover many charming little boutiques in the smaller streets of Amsterdam.
Are you visiting Amsterdam for its art, culture and history? Then you can head to various museums such as the Anne Frank House, the Hermitage Amsterdam, the Jewish Historical Museum, the FOAM Photography Museum and not forgetting of course the city's world-famous museums: the Rijksmuseum, the Stedelijk Museum and the Van Gogh Museum. There is something for everyone! Budget Hotel Hortus is located in Amsterdam; a city where which is not short of entertainment. Besides visiting various museums, you can also stroll through several markets. The Waterlooplein market, the Dapper market and the famous Albert Cuyp market.
Rooms - We have various different room types, which are excellently suited to either a single person stay or larger groups. The rooms are basic yet pleasant and come with a comfortable bed, a television and a safe. With the exception of several rooms, the shower and toilet are located in the corridor and are to be shared with the other guests.
Food and Drinks. Breakfast, which is included in our rate, is served every morning between 8:00 and 10:00.. The hotel does not have a restaurant but there are countless restaurants and eateries in the direct vicinity, where you can enjoy a tasty meal or you are welcome to use our kitchen facilities at night.
Bike Rental
We have in-house bike rental for only €16 per day. No deposit is required. The rate includes the bike rental, bike insurance, bike lock, 24 hour rental and convenience to return the bike to the hotel instead of at a separate location.

• Check-in from 13:00 - till 23:00. If you arrive earlier then you are welcome to leave your luggage in the storage area and return later to check in.
• Check-out till 10:00 am
• Wi-Fi - FREE! Guests can make free use of wireless Internet at the hotel.
• Children - Children up to 2 years old can stay in the parents' room free of charge, providing use is made of the existing bedding. It is not possible to place an extra bed or cot in the room.
• Public parking facilities are available in the vicinity of the hotel. The hotel does not have a private car park.
