Next to the Rembrandt Hotel you will enjoy the historical nature of an almost 400 year old canal house and its unique location in the most attractive part of Amsterdam. Luxury that surpasses the standard fare.

The building itself is a testament to 16th century Dutch architecture and has recently undergone a number of restaurations, preserving all of its historical beauty. You can enjoy the quaint fireplaces and historic features, while still having all the luxurious amenities of modern life.

The Dutch Lion boasts two Kingsize bedrooms, an en-suite bathroom and a tastefully refurnished kitchen with a canal view.

Situated on the Herengracht Canal, just a stones-throw away from the Anne Frank Museum and the famous ‘Westerkerk’ Church. This scenic area is known as the ‘Negen Straatjes’ or ‘9 Streets’, and is home to a great number of very charming local café’s and shops. The residents here say that it is the best place to live in Amsterdam (but we will leave that up to you).

There are regular trams from Amsterdam Central Station that stop at The Dam Square; from there it’s just a five-minute walk to The Dutch Lion. Conveniently close by are bus stops and other tram stations that will take you all over the city, but our suggestion is you do it the Dutch way and rent a bike – that is only if you are an experienced cyclist!
