Lead Crystal® batteries are the result of extensive research, development and field testing over several years. The unique batteries are based on a combination of proprietary technology, which includes five patents and various trade secrets. The Lead Crystal® technology was developed in collaboration with our research and manufacturing partner in Asia, who operates the only facility in the World capable and licensed to produce the batteries. They do so in close cooperation with us and under our exacting supervision and quality control (we take no credit for the great food at the canteen though).

Obviously, we can’t go into too much detail on how the tech works. However, we can say that the Lead Crystal® technology consists of a number of special features including: a unique micro porous high absorbent mat (AGM), extra-thick plates made with grids cast from high purity lead calcium selenium alloy (which ensures an extended life), and a non-corrosive solution of SiO2 as part of the electrolyte. During the initial charge and discharge cycles the electrolyte solidifies and forms a less toxic white crystalline powder.
