This unique house nestled in the heart of Amsterdam's main canals, was bought in 1975 by Ton van der Stap and Loes Olden. Situated on one of the most quiet and beautiful parts of the canal it's situated within five minutes walking distance Central Station. This 17th Century canal house was taken back to its original state over time and has since been converted into a boutique Bed and Breakfast.

The B&B owns two rooms: Canal View Room - Located in the front house, on the third floor, it has an uninterupted romantic view over the canal.
The second room is an apartment located in the back house, also on the third floor, and is a duplex with a comfortable living room on one level and a bedroom above it with bathroom. Both rooms are unique in their own way: bright, full of antiques and curiosa, art they provide a special insight into the most beautiful Amsterdam.

The house is furnished with a contemporary art collection by Amsterdam and international artists. Many pieces are created by artists who are neighbours and both friends.

Breakfast is served in the Style Room on the ground floor of the back house. Fresh orange juice, warm fresh bread, organic farmers cheese and fresh organic fruit and vegetable produce from the market with your local newspaper is served in this most beautiful serene setting.

In front of the house lies an old missionary boat from 1922. If the weather permits it, a tour of the canals might be offered that day, since nothing is more beautiful than admiring the authentic canal houses from the waterside.
