The Dutch coast is nearby, as well as the famous cities of Amsterdam, Alkmaar, Volendam and Haarlem: all very suitable for an unforgettable day trip!

The home is very close to Amsterdam but still far enough from the fuss to really experience the Dutch countryside, which makes the house suitable for any season of the year or mood you’re in.

"We could easily check-in by ourselves and Chris was always available and very helpful via phone or sms. At check-out we met Chris, Kikki and their children and they are very nice and down-to-earth people, perfect hosts.

The house is located in a small and sweet village and you can reach a lot of places by car within 30 min. (Alkmaar, Haarlem, the sea and of course Amsterdam). The next bigger village De Rijp with some nice stores, supermarkets and a gas station is only 5 min. away.

The house itself is very very nice! It has a lot of atmosphere and lovely details. We really liked the little sleeping booths for children, the beautiful floors, the overall authentic equipment and accessories and last but not least the huge fireplace! The garden is really large and nice for children. The garden and the house are completely surrounded by water and you enter the whole property over a little bridge! There are wooden fences to avoid little children getting to close to the water.

So no matter if you want to spend a nice holiday with your family or just want to enjoy the peaceful landscape and nature, we can really recommend this beautiful place."
