Cielito Lindo 2.7

I came here because I have always wanted to do more than just stop by as I headed south to BCS, where I have spent most of my time in Mexico. Though I love the Sierra Gigantes and the Cortez coast from Mulege to the East Cape, this place always had a draw on me. Stopovers were always pleasant, and as a kayak fisherman, I have been intrigued by the bay mouth, San Martin Island's proximity and the great reports of White Seabass, Halibut and Yellowtail. With weather equal to San Diego, it feels good. And I have to be a little closer to SoCal for general purposes. So here I am. Cielito was the first place I looked due to proximity to the bay mouth and a launch-able point just across from the very productive main channel inside of Cabo San Quintin.

What I found was good people, some rough roads (they always seem to go together) and a warm reception by the current owners of this cozy little place. I am home.
