Christopher Fallon was a Spanish professor with a Masters degree in Spanish from Middlebury College. He then began designing women's clothing. He moved to San Miguel de Allende in 1986 with his wife and eldest son.After two years in San Miguel the family moved to Merida, Yucatan where he opened a sewing factory.He had a show room on 7th Avenue in New York. He sold to over 400 specialty boutiques in the United States and Canada.His haute couture designs graced the covers of Women's Wear Daily.In 1993 the family moved back to San Miguel with their eldest son and an addition to the family, another son.He opened a boutique in their house on Calle Sollano.A new friend at the time asked him to redo a house she and her husband had just bought.This led to almost twenty houses that he renovated or designed from scratch Eleven years ago he convinced the owner of Fabrica La Aurora to convert it into Fabrica La Aurora, Art and Design Center. He conceived the entire idea and designed the interior spaces. Today it is a huge success. The waiting list to be there is very long.
