Our guides have a lifetime of experience living and working with clients in the desert. Unique to our company many of our guides spent their childhood living with nomadic families and they truly know every grain of sand in Morocco’s deserts. Growing up living off the land they naturally turned to guiding clients interested in eco-tour expeditions of the desert for their careers. They love their desert and are eager to share their passion for the land with visitors.

Camel Ride Merzouga is the result of the collaboration of several eco-tour operators who specialize in desert tours. We offer personalized, educational, unique and top-quality tours and wilderness experiences to adventurers and explorers, while minimizing our impact on the local population, environment and wildlife.

We have a profound respect for the land and wildlife and engage in activities that do not disrupt the local ecosystem and community. We abide by, strictly, a “leave no trace” policy and are involved with local charities that promote environmental protection and sustainable development. A percentage of our resources and revenue are dedicated to local conservation and education efforts in Merzouga.

Camel Ride Merzouga is run and operated by guides who support local efforts to promote Amazigh (Berber) culture. Our tours provide cultural immersion that give a balanced understanding of the many diverse cultures which reside in Morocco and share an appreciation for the traditional culture which, although threated, exists today in Merzouga.
