Rabat is the capital of Morocco, with 627.932 inhabitants, 71,20 % represents the active population. With its suburbs, it forms the second largest city in the country after Casablanca. In 2012, Rabat was listed as a cultural city on the World Heritage List by UNESCO. According to CNN, Rabat is the 2nd most visited city, also as one of the hottest destinations in 2013. The inhabitants of Rabat and Salé largely use different means of transportation such as: bus, tramway and train as part of their daily activity. Traffic prevents people from using their cars. Nowadays, everyone is in a hurry. In order to access information regarding routes and schedules of trains, buses and trams, the traveler spends time checking three different websites. Today, the city has two train stations, ten bus lines and tram. The network has two lines for a total length of 19 km (11.8 mi). A double electrified railway line links Rabat to the nearly city Salé. The tram lines serve both Rabat and Salé on a north-south axis with a shared track of 3 km from the city center to the entrance of Salé, across Bouregreg River via Hassan II Bridge. The official websites do not offer daily schedules, most of the time, resulting in a loss of time while searching. Our application gathers information’s about tramway routes and schedules, bus lines and stops. Also train schedule in every station in Rabat and Salé. The application optimizes the user’s time and makes his correspondence smoother. The main function of our application is to centralize and group all the dispersed information concerning the public transportation (bus, tramway, train). Besides, it will give the opportunity to passengers to discover the city of Rabat with the design that we propose. Our mobile app is addressed to those with an android mobile phone who travel from a place to another using the mentioned means of transportation.
