Activities

Mezeguida Association participates in many activities for the sake of the development of its rustic area.

Culture Activities:
Many members of the association participate in giving presentations , conferences ,cultural competitions ,cultural days ,documentaries , illiteracy , awareness and sewing programs for women and encouraging countryside girls to carry on their studies in different levels instead of ceasing studying at an early age (primary school) ….In addition to organizing debates and teaching children under the age of six (preschool) .

Art Activities:
The association presents culture animation for children in the form of games, drama, songs, drawing pictures and so on and so forth.

SPORT ACTIVITIES:
The association organizes tournaments in sport, chiefly football and athletics .The sport activities are limited because of lack of equipments.

PICNICS:
As a prize for the outstanding students, the associations help students to go on national picnics or campings during summer holidays, which motivate the students to learn hard and create the atmosphere of competition and challenge .On the other hand, children benefits from local trip surrounding trip to explore their surrounding and its heritage.

SOCIAL WORK:
As far as concerning social activities : the association keen on cleaning and purifying the environment ; besides, the association distributes some school object to poor students at the beginning of the school year such as school bags,books,notebooks,etc.Furthermore, there is a help to the citizens of mezguida village like clothes .The association gives a help to handicapped people. Thanks to it, some handicapped have the chance to have membership in other associations that deals with the same task.

EDUCATION ACTIVITIES:
Many illiterates (women and men) benefit from illiteracy programs .A lot of old people who have never been to school attend the courses; consequently, the majority of them become able to read and write. Students who are registered in different stages attend extra hours under the supervision of some volunteer teachers.
All people can have access to the library. The members of the association can take the book outside of it to read, but they can not keep beyond a week.
The association publish an annual magazine called '' Sakifa". This magazine deals with different issues .

PROJECTS :
The association is seeking to have relationship with other national and international associations and organizations which have the same goals so as to exchange expertise , widen its communication with other associations and find partners to enhance devolping projects for this rural region which is badly in need to .
