What does “Khaleejesque” mean?

A twist to the word gulf in Arabic “Khaleej” and a play on words with the suffix “esque”; we’re the Gulf answer to Arabesque, but instead we are Khaleejesque.

They still didn’t link us with a railway system and a Gulf-specific currency seems to be pending ever since we can remember, but one thing’s for sure, Khaleejesque will keep locals and curious international readers all connected and in the know.
