Vitalize Tomakomai Association 1.51

This committee is a part of a project by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fishery of Japan. The project is to vitalize and popularize suburban cities or towns.

As in Tomakomai, we have plentiful of nature and agricultural resources, we take this chance to take full advantage to utilize them in programs such as;

-Interaction with Fishery and Agricultural villages for children
-Green-tourism utilizing the resources
-Cooperating medical treatment and welfare utilizing farms
etc.

We currently have two of the following programs, both by the Women's department of Fishery Cooperative Association of Tomakomai, which are;
-Shucking and tasting the surf clams
-Cleaning and Eating the local fish

We are now arranging with the members of the association to add more programs to the list which can lead to promoting agriculture and fisheries of Tomakomai.
