The company has many original technologies and patent rights in its name. The raw material used in the products is "MANI Hard Fiber Stainless Steel" which is very unique and one of the original technologies of MANI.

Listed on the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange, the company is headquartered in Utsunomiya, Japan and it employs approximately 3000 people.

History:
The founder of MANI, Mr Masao Matsutani started a business at Takanezawa in Tochigi Prefecture Japan on May 1, 1956 and established MATSUTANI SEISAKUSYO CO., LTD, in 1959. After considering which industry would allow him to contribute to the world in spite of the firm’s rural location, he decided to engage in the medical field, where there were unmet needs. At that time, surgical needles made with steel were widely used in the medical field. However, rust caused a problem at the medical front line, which he took particular note of. He therefore started research and development of 18-8 stainless steel eyed needles. A typical example of corrosion-resistant alloyed steel is stainless steel alloyed with chromium (18%) and nickel (8%). From this developed MANI's differentiating factor and its aim for the world's best quality.

India Operation:
MANI has a strong business partners across segments all across the world, including India. MANI has been present in India for more than 30 years. Now, to serve its customers and existing partners better, MANI has established a subsidiary company in New Delhi, India, called MANI MEDICAL INDIA Pvt. Ltd on April 1st 2017. One employee from the Japan headquarter has already been stationed in New Delhi since April 2016 as a representative of the MANI headquarter and soon the subsidiary will have its own group of people for handling the India operation.
