Kuma Lodge is your boutique mountain base for skiers and boarders looking for an unforgettable Japanese powder experience. With panoramic views over the resort and snow covered mountains, you’ll enjoy all levels of skiing terrain and ample apres snow action all from our ski in / out position in the heart of Madarao village.

Our nine well equipped rooms are spread over two floors and are available for double or triple occupancy. Every room has been tastefully refurbished and a number of the rooms also come with en-suite bathrooms and balconies.

The lodge has been designed for your comfort. We have a number of relaxation areas, including a purpose built living room with flat screen TV, ping pong table, darts board and plush sofa’s.

Madarao has long been a popular choice for generations of Japanese. Now it is starting to become a destination for western travelers due to the opening of the new Shinkansen bullet train last year, which takes skiers direct from Tokyo central to the resort in approx 100mins.
