当校は1985年7月、東京大学赤門前で設立されました。現在地は東京都荒川区日暮里にあり、本校・日暮里校合わせ定員1,250名、教職員約120名を有する伝統ある日本語学校です。学生は韓国及び中国などアジアを中心に世界各国40ヶ国からの学生が在籍しています。
約1万5千人を越える卒業生を輩出し、卒業後は日本の大学、大学院、専門学校へ進学する学生、日本企業や母国での日系企業に就職する学生、また自ら起業し活躍している卒業生も大勢います。
