Around the middle of the Meiji Era(1867-1912)
Our store was founded by Senjiro Hamaguchi.
As a symbol for this store,the Chinese character "sen"(meaning"thousand") from his name and enclosed it in a single bracket

.This symbol has been used us a kind of trademark ever since.

*The current owner of Hamasen is the grandson of the origind founde,Hamaguchi Senjiro.

our drying room,only natural sunlight is used to produce our delicacies,each with their own required drying time.
From the room runs a path that leads directly to the ocean.
