ミュージカル「常長の祈り」公演事務局 2.2

ミュージカル「常長の祈り」は、オーディションによって選出された宮城県民の皆さん、仙台藩にゆかりのある土地の方々、そして留学生など５カ国約100名の出演が予定されています。
劇団四季などにも多くの作品を提供している梶賀千鶴子の書き下ろし作品。演劇音楽の第一線で活躍中の上田亨が音楽を担当。演奏はサイトウミノルをはじめとする仙台在住のプロミュージシャンで編成されるSCSミュージカルオーケストラ。
公演は2013年11月23日〜24日、東京エレクトロンホール宮城（宮城県民会館）にて上演された。
仙台藩士、支倉常長ら慶長遣欧使節団の厳しいミッションとロマンが舞台いっぱいに繰り広げられた。また翌2014年には伝国の杜ホール（米沢市）にてショートバージョンが上演された。

Miyagi Prefecture presents an original musical for the 400th anniversary of the departure of the Keicho Embassy.

What is the Keicho Embassy?
From 1613 through 1620, Tsunenaga Hasekura headed a diplomatic mission to the Vatican in Rome,traveling through New Spain,arriving in Acapulco and departing from Veracruz,and visiting various parts of Europe. This historic mission is called the Kencho Embassy.

Information
The musical Prayer Of Tsunenaga is going to feature about 100 performers from Miyagi Prefecture who passed a rigorous audition to participate,and also feature local international students.

This musical is the newest work by Chizuko Kajika ,an acclaimed playwright and choreographer that often works with the famous Shiki Theater Company in Tokyo.
The music will be directed by Toru Ueda, a music director veteran in the field of theater music.
The music will be performed by the SCS Musical Orchestra,an orchestra comprised of professional musicians from the Sendai area and popular local musician Minoru Saitou.
The voice of Date Masamune will be performed by guest star Masachika Ichimura.

The performance will be on 11/23,24 at Tokyo Electron Hall Miyagi.
The adventure and romance of Sendai’s samurais Tunenaga Hasekura,and the Kencho Embassy will come alive before yours eyes in this exciting original musical presented by Miyagi Prefecture.
