三島町観光協会 "からんころん" / Mishima tourism association "Karankoron" 2.88

三島町は福島県西部に位置し、豊かな自然に囲まれた人口約1,700人の町です。高齢化率が50％以上と過疎化の進む小さな町ではありますが、その自然とそこに暮らす人々が生み出した歴史・文化は伝統工芸品「奥会津編み組細工」、国指定重要無形民俗文化財「三島のサイノカミ」に代表され、現代の人々に受け継がれています。また古くから会津桐の産地として知られ、三島町の桐タンスは全国的にも有名です。


三島町観光協会では以下の事業を行っています。
・観光交流舘「からんころん」事業
　観光客、町民、子ども大人を問わず、交流の出来るスペースとして運営
・観光イベント事業
　雪まつり・志津倉山開きを始め、町内におけるイベントの開催
・観光連携事業
　関係団体と協働による観光イベントへの出店やＰＲ活動
・観光産業推進事業
　三島町の地域資源を有効活用した着地型観光ツアー（宿泊型）の開発・実施


Located in the west of Fukushima Prefecture, Mishima is a small town, abundant in nature, with a population of approximately 1,900 people. Despite its 48% aging population and continuing depopulation, Mishima’s nature and its people continue to pass down their history and culture through traditional crafts known as, “Okuaizu Amikumizaiku,” and its representative Intangible Folk Cultural Properties of Japan, “Mishima no Sai no Kami.” Also, since ancient times, known for producing Aizu’s paulownia, Mishima’s paulownia chest drawers are famous nation-wide.

Mishima Tourist Association is involved in the following:
・Tourism Exchange Center “Karankoron”
　A community space that allows interaction between tourists, locals, children,
　and adults. It is also the office location for the association.
・Tourism Events
　Snow Festival, Mt. Shizukurayama opening, organizing local events
・Tourism Coalition
　Promotional events and setting up booths for relevant organizations and tourism events
・Tourism Industry Development
　Developing and implementing tours (that includes accommodations) that make use of Mishima’s local resources
