World Bicycle Traveller, Wheels for Green 3.71

Hello Everybody,

I am a medical doctor and Ayurvedic physician since 2005. I and my late wife Dr. Kavita has tried our best to deliver good services from our Aastha Hospital in Bhuna, Haryana, India. But my life turned when I lost my beloved wife in road accident. Also I lost my beloved mother and father with illness. With this I lost hope in life but as I learnt that there was much worse in the world happening, I decided to live for those in need.

The environment that we live in is degrading by the day. Road traffic accidents are one of the spiraling problems of environmental degradation to which I lost my wife. As I realized this I decided to save those thousands others who were prone to loosing life like my wife. Cycling came as a hope for saving lives across the world.

I am therefore travelling the world on Bicycle, “Wheels for Green” about awareness to save environment and green earth since 6 September 2016
from Bhuna, Haryana, India. Also, I am spreading the awareness of our ancient practice and treatment of Ayurveda.

I started paddling from Bhuna since 5 September 2016. India is a country that suffers the problems of deforestation resulting into destructive flood each year. Climate change has changed the vegetation pattern and road traffic accident caused death, injury and disAbility is at the increase every year. Hence, motivated to challenge these unwarranted hazards, I decided to take up this campaign.

Until, June 2017, I have completed 19200km in India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Bhutan and Nepal with 500 seminars and 50000 saplings planted with the support of friends, relatives, cycling clubs and Lions Club's members. The support has been largely in terms of kinds and cash that includes, accommodation, food, camera, cycle and importantly their blessing. Now I plan to start cycling from Cambodia.

I borrowed bicycle from one of my dear friend Sanjeev Kakar, while I didn't even know how to gear the cycle. I had also never been introduced to the advanced DSLR technology of photography. However, I started learning the skill one of my dear friend Xuan Tran gifted me a Canon EOS-5D III.
