Vista Valley Resort is all of this and more. Vista Valley Resort, Araku is located off the main Vizag-Araku road amidst gently rolling hills with greenery all around. With hilly terrain on two sides, the valley offers a beautiful haven for an escape from the humdrum of daily life. Breathtaking nature abounds in all corners at the resort. An unhindered view of the valley and the far blue mountains is enough to bring gentle peace to one's soul.

There are many places in and around Araku which are worth a visit. Some are close by and can be done in a few hours whereas some require a day trip.

Borra Caves – These caves are about 4 kilometers from Ananthagiri. They are one of the biggest caves in India and are located at a height of over 700 m above sea level. In Telugu they are known as Borra Guhalu and have some fantastic formations of stalactite and stalagmite, possibly some of the best in the country.

They were discovered by William King George who was part of the British Raj. The caves offer a lot of explore and several formations resemble shapes of animals, birds and Gods & Goddesses. There are some small water bodies which are worth a special mention. These are a ‘must visit’on all itineraries to Araku.

Katiki Falls – These lovely falls come from the River Gostani and are close to Borra Caves. They are over 50 feet and the places around offer many trekking routes. For the trekking enthusiast they are very attractive. Good photo-ops are available.

Padmapuram Gardens - The Padmapuram gardens are an integral part of Araku. Located close to the station, they date back to the 1940’s and were part of the war efforts. They were an important part of the logistics chain and supplied fresh vegetable produce to the army during the 2nd World War. They currently have a range of flowers and other flora.
Children can have a time in the park with a toy train.

Coffee Plantations – A number of plantations of coffee abound in Araku. These are good for a visit.

Araku Tribal Museum – In the middle of the valley lies this gem - the Araku Tribal Museum. Not very far from the Padmapuram gardens, the museum is a treasure trove for those interested in the local way of life. One can view details of the local culture and life of the tribals. This is built in the local tradition using locally available materials.

A Crafts Center is integrated in the museum and visitors can buy some interesting handicraft here. Ideal for souvenir hunters.

Tyda Park – This is a good get-away for the wild-life enthusiast. It offers facilities for camping, trekking and bird-watching. Possibly the best place in Andhra for watching a wide species of birds.

Matsyagundam – Home to the century old Sri Matsyalingeswara Swamy Temple, this place interestingly has a large variety of fishes. This is popularly known as the ‘fish pool’.

There are other places to visit around the Vista Valley Resort like – Sangda Waterfalls and Dumbriguda Waterfalls etc. We can arrange a one-day picnic with special lunch baskets for the family.

Our friendly staff at the resort will be glad to organize the transport and guides for you. All at very reasonable rates. And if you wish to experience the life in a village we will be glad to organize a special trip for you. We can also organize other fun activities if you can let us know if advance.
