The majority of population are Aulakhs, Deo, and Mands. It has a Government Secondary school, Government Dispensary, Water tank, three Gurudwara Sahib and one peer's kabar(Baba Choor Shah Walli). One of the three Gurudwaras is historical Gurudwara Sahib of Shaeed Baba Bir Singh Ji. In village's boundary, there is a fill up station from petrol and diesel. Bhagupur used to had two big water pools, but only one is left in present time. For grocery, there are about 4 shops available. Most of the village streets are floored with bricks but still some of them are not in good shape.
