Upkaar - Voluntary Blood Donation Organization 3.08

The tradition of SGSITS, Indore always proclaimed the social dedication of its students towards serving society.

“UPKAAR”, too is a student initiative of SGSITS Indore which aims at providing a platform for voluntary blood donations to the needy and helpless co-beings.

Its was ‘the parampara’ of SGSITS especially hostelers that,the one who fails to find the required group or sufficient amount of blood , on contacting here, never returned empty handed.
As with the increase in requirements and passage of time, it was not able to cope up with the situation rather than having organizing a donation day during its annual fest.Thus in order to serve the society by utilizing its potential in the most efficient manner and also to provide the donors a trustworthy base a voluntary blood donation society was named “UPKAAR” was formed on 12 March 2012. From that day till today it stood in first while serving the needy a plenty of dedicated donors, thus making its name more meaningful.
We proudly announce that, in our last 16 months of serving society we were able to co–ordinate around 1500 blood donations at various hospitals of Indore and the number still increasing day by day.
Though the society’s activities was confined to the campus especially in the hostels..With the aim of expanding activities ,the society conducts blood detection camps, prepares seminars and classes that aims at removing myths relating blood donation as well as promoting students for such great service of saving life.
The number of volunteers and donors are also increasing per day. Ongoing small expenses of society were met by volunteers itself.
We are thankful to almighty and happy to say that , through society we were able to serve the needy though small but with full dedication.And in future society aims at conducting more detection camps, seminars and classes, blood camps ,free medical camps as well as a more stronger as well as genuine platform for blood donation...
