Faculty of Peace & Security Advocates (FPSA) is a faculty association of the Blue Cross & Blue Crescent movement, with branches of the faculty in every country where national Blue Cross Societies or Blue Crescent Societies operate. FPSA members are peace & security advocates. The FPSA's functional objective is to work towards a more peaceful, safe and secure conflict free world, promotes efforts to raise public awareness of peace and security issues, facilitates a forum in which members convey their knowledge, experience and share practical skills to foster peace, peace building, human security, international mediation, negotiation, facilitation, leadership, societal transformation, social entrepreneurship, conflict prevention; resolution, reconciliation and rehabilitation, etc., that will hopefully help to empower the next generation of peacemakers, peacekeepers and security leaders.
The FPSA and its principle organisation BC is committed to aligning our operations and strategies with all ten universally accepted principles of the UN Global Compact.
FPSA's functional objectives specifically aims to works against corruption in all its forms, including extortion, bribery, violence and thuggery, electoral malpractices etc..because peace is not the absence of conflict, but the presence of justice.
