Tharangam theatre was a dream project of Late. Thondukada Ali Kunju Sahib. It was inaugurated by the "evergreen" superstar Late Prem Nazir who was in the area shooting for the movie "Chakravakam". The first movie to be screened here was the prem nazeer,k.r.vijaya,soman & unnimery starrer "Nivedyam".
