The school was founded by rev.Fr.Cuthbert Kaliyanil OFM CAP. in the year 1972 with the motto to serve in "Truth and Love". It is run by St.Jude Educational society of the St.Joseph Capuchin Province , Kerala. Fr.Cuthbert received blessings in abundance from st.Jude Thaddeus and so this school is named after St.Jude
