Sri Sri RadhaGiridhari temple-ISKCON Miraroad

The Sri Sri RadhaGiridhari Mandir was established on Rama Navami in 1996
The temple has two altars. On the first altar are Sri Sri RadhaGiridhari, and on the second altar are Sri Sri Jagannath Baladeva along Their sister Subhadraji. Since 1996, the Sri Sri Radha Giridhari Temple Complex has expanded considerably to fulfill Srila Bhagavatpada’s mission of making Mira Road ISKCON a unique one where people from all walks of life can purify themselves by serving Their Lordships Sri Sri Radha-Giridhari. You are most welcome to visit Iskcon Miraroad and get the mercy of their Lordships Sri Sri RadhaGiridhariji and Sri Sri Jagannath Baladeva Subhadraji.
The Deity is Sri Krishna Himself who has taken a form made of a material substance like marble just to make it convenient for us to worship Him. Pilgrims coming to the temple get the highest spiritual benefit by taking darshan of the Deities, by offering obeisances, by circumambulating the Deities and by partaking the charanamrita (water that has washed the lotus feet of the Lord).

The History
Sri Sri Radha Giridhariji temple’s history dates back to September 14th 1986, when the deities were installed in Bhayander on the occasion of Radha Asthami. In a small flat these beautiful deities of Sri Sri Radha Girdhari were installed, with very few devotees. After the installation, problems started in the form of shortage of place, little water, no economic support and no co-operation from neighbours. But the devotees continued their services unto the Lotus feet of the Lord for nearly nine years. The devotees kept searching for a new place. In 1995 a place was acquired in Mira Road. On Lord Balararna’s Appearance day in Mira Road Lord Jagganath, Lord Baladeva and Srimati Subhadhara deities were moved from Juhu. Prior to Their move, these deities were worshipped in the travelling sankirtan bus for many years by the Juhu devotees. By the mercy of the Lord Krishna, a temporary temple was built in the ISKCON property. Sri Jagannath, Baladeva and Subhadra were moved to this new temple. Also Sri Sri Radha Giridhariji deities were moved from Bhavander. The new temple was open to public worship on Ram Navmi day in April 1996. How fortunate, privileged and honoured people of Mira Road are for they have the mercy of Sri Sri Radha Giridhariji with Lord Jagganath, Lord Baladev and Srimati Subhadhara
