A Brief Background About the temple
Chevalier Dr.R.Arunachalam, popularly recognised as the Architect of Rajarajeshwari Nagar. has devoted him self to numerous Philanthopic activities not only in Rajarajeshwari Nagar, but also in other places in and outside of the Karnataka state. In addition to building a number of temples in Rajarajeshwari Nagar, he has very actively associated himself in the development and administration of all the temples situated in the locality. Each of the temples designed and built solely by Dr.R.Arunachalam has its own unique features. Sri Shrungagiri Shanmukha Temple, built by Dr.R.Arunachalam atop a hillock, is hexagonal in shape with the six faces of Lord Shanmukha as its raajagopura. The Arunachaleswara temple on the same hillock has a crystal Shivalinga, exclusively conceptualised and designed by Dr.R.Arunachalam and the first of it's kind in the whole world, While the Panchamukhi Ganesha Temple at the bottom of the hillock is designed to have Darshan of the Deity from all the four sides. The uniquely designed temples speak volumes of Dr.R.Arunachalam's devotion and his Conceptualisation capacities.

Ordained by Sri Devi Karumariyamman, When the Trust members approached Dr.R.Arunachalam with a request to donate suitable land for Devi's Temple, He not only readily donated the hillock right opposite to Sri Shrungagiri Shanmukha Temple, but also whole-heartedly under took to design and construct the temple himself, which process was completed ina record time of 90 days only in july 2009. The conceptualisation capacity of Dr.R.Arunachalam was once again proved and the temple has been built in an unique Chariot style design.

Sri Devi Karumariyamman has enthroned herself in this temple to bless all her devotees. While Dr.R.Arunachalam is the chief patron of the Temple. The temple administration and the daily pooja programmes are monitored by the trust under the Leadership and guidance of Sri Madhukar Guruji.
