The Kikani Higher secondary school has Community based services schemes for students to develop their personality, character discipline, leadership qualities and patriotism for ones land.
1) The Scouts and Guides Contingent are active members at all camp including the "Governor Award" and have been successful in their participation's.
2) The National Services Scheme group of volunteers have made a mark for themselves at various camps and rallies organized by the local chapters.Three special camps have been held at Idkarai, Poluvampatti village which has been adopted by the Kikani NSS. The main activities are creating awareness among villagers regarding literacy, hygiene, sanitation and saving future.
3) The National Cadet Corps (NCC) Air wing Troop No: 37 of (TN) AIR SQN NCC had its inception in 1962. The Squadron has displayed its abilities and skills in all camps they have participated. They won the "Over Championship" in CATE 2003 and were declared runners up in CATE 2005.
Strenuous training in varies field relating to Indian Air Force and the services are imparted.
