SNDT Women’s University is the first Women’s University in South-East Asia. The University was founded by Maharshi Dr. Dhondo Keshav Karve in 1916 for offering higher education to girls. SNDTWU has 3 campuses: Churchgate, Juhu and Pune. Several affiliated colleges (about 165) all over Maharashtra and other 6 States of India have affiliated themselves to SNDT Women's University, ie students learn SNDTWU curriculum and area awarded degree of the University. SNDTWU offers about 250 programmes under 12 different faculties from PhD to Certificate.
