Established in 1878 in Nashik (Maharashtra State, India), ‘SHREE NASIK PANCHAVATI PANJRAPOLE’ (i.e SNPP) is a Registered Public Charitable Trust mainly engaged in the following activities:
1) Providing asylum for old, sick, weak, disabled and stray animals, particularly cows given by others including military farms, various Municipal Corporation & Jeevdaya Mandali, preventing the animals from going to slaughter houses
2) Improving the breeding cattle in India; up- keep, maintaining and propagating cows. Currently shelters approx. 1300 cows in three farms, located at Panchavati, Peth Road & Chunchale of Nashik with appointed qualified veterinary doctors to look after and treat the animals
Other Social/ Charitable activities:
• Milk is distributed at concessional rates to institutions like Schools, Adharashram, Home for the aged, Hospitals etc
• Animal Husbandry training given in the past to 17500 People including Animal Husbandry Directors, Milk Unions, Veterinary Doctors & Farmers through District Dairy Dept
• Free distribution of animals to poor & Marginal farmers through Nasik Zilha Parishad
• Free of Cost Consultation & Medical advice given to Military Farms which results in increase of 2.5 Lakhs Liters milk per annum, acknowledged by the Military Farms.
