The Temple:
Sri Dharma Sastha, manifesting as the offspring of Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu (Mohini) is the specific Avatara for safe-guarding Dharma as the very name indicates. Ayyappa is the human incarnation of Sri Dharma Sastha and is worshipped as “Kaliyuga Varadah” which translates to the Benevolent Lord of the Present Age”
As Upanishads are the essence of Vedas, Ayyappa Deeksha is the distilled essence of Upanishads made simple and practicable for ordinary humans to attain not only worldly benefits but also Moksha, with “Saranam” (surrender) as the main tool. No wonder lakhs and lakhs of pilgrims throng to Sabarimala and thousands of Ayyappa Temples are built all over the country and abroad.

The Site: Divine ordain, led to the Sankalpam of building Sri Ayyappa temple at Tirumalagiri near Nallapadu ( Guntur District) less than a kilometre from the Guntur-Hyderabad highway. Abutting the NSP Canal and road in the front, Lord Venkateswara Temple ( Hari) on the side Lord Shiva temple, (Hara) overlooking from behind on Kailasagiri, Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Temple in the vicinity at Vengalayapalam, Kondaveedu Mountain Range as the backdrop, it is the ideal location for Hari Hara Putra temple.
While the canal in the front reminds the devotee of Pampa, the Ganapathi temple at the entrance to the approach road reminds Pampa Ganapathi. The mountains behind put together recreate Sabarimala in Nallapadu.
The Model: The temple is modelled on the Sabarimala temple with the sacred 18 steps.
The Plan: The temple plans and designs are prepared by Brahmasri Kanipayyoor Krishnan Namboothiripad of Kerala, an authority in Aagama Sastra and involved in the construction of hundreds of temples in the country and abroad
The idols: While the main deity-Ayyappa –will be of panchaloham as in Sabarimala, the other idols being Ganapathi, Nagaraja and Malikapurathamma will be of Krishna Sila. The Ayyappa idol is planned to be cast on the temple site bringing reputed Shilpis.
It is not only an appeal, it is an opportunity
Our scriptures abound in describing the worldly and trans-worldly benefits of constructing a temple. Generous contribution in cash and kind will help expediting the completion of this mighty project
