Satnam Sewa Ashram 2.03

The Satnam Sewa Ashram started by a group of social workers of Himachal Pradesh in the year of 1982.It is registered under the Govt.of India Society's Act of xxi,1860 at Shimla as a charitable Society.

With its office situated at Village Seri,Tehsil and P.O.Jogindernagar.Distt.Mandi. Joginder Nagar is also known for its first Hydro Electric Project of North India. It is about 255 K.M. from Chandigarh and on the road of Mandi- Pathankot,57 K.M. away from Mandi.

The Ashram started its activities with the small contribution from a social workers of Himachal Pradesh, small room given by a social worker.The members of the society are in their own business,and few devoted persons only for the social service , Mahila mandals,Elderly groups and Youth mandals give their voluntary service working amongst poores to fpoor, orphans, illiterates, distressed, depressed, disables, destitutes and downtrodden people from all walks of life.

By the good efforts,the Ashram is recognized,by local people and local Govt. authorities who co-operated the Ashram in various activities,and ultimately it got registered under Foreign Contribution Regulation Act(FCRA).And able to receive the Foreign fund for the socio-economic Development and Health related services, from various International Agencies such as Sweden(SIDA),SAP,Canada,Indo Geman Social Service Society(IGSSS),Help Age UK, and CASA so on..

By the good contribution and co-operation of the members of the Ashram and Foreign Agencies,the Ashram is registered with INCOMETAX DEPARTMENT for tax exemption(12aa)AND 80 G approved for three years up to 31-03-2013.

REV.O.P.Bhatia is full time director with SATNAM SEWA ASHRAM,he is given full time to the service.The short time and long term goal is rendering selfless service to the community. The Ashram are to provide food,clothing,education,medicine,shelter,and provide technical training to weaker section and wards of chronic patients to make them self relaiant.
