Pursuing the adage that “A sound mind dwells in a sound body” –the sports committee emphasizes the sine qua non personality development of an individual apart from the academia .
Sports committee of our college has put every effort to enhance the level of the sports and games in our institute. Sports committee has not left any stone unturned in raising the morale and skills of the students of NIT Raipur.
After the long hiatus, last year sports fest was culminated in a huge success organised on a monumental platform of SAMAR’16 . The success of SAMAR’16 appears to lend credence to those who were fostering sceptic views in the ability of organisers.
SAMAR enacted as a flare for sports lovers for blending various sporting events with relentless charisma. Although the facilities and the fields and courts provided for sports in SAMAR’16 could not had nourished the skills of our enthusiastic players entirely because of limited sports facilities and crunch of funds.
BUT DON’T WORRY AT ALL –this time, we are coming back with renovated fields & courts, with perfect demarcations & other sports facilities.
