Quite an interesting discovery..Rettai (double) Easwaran (Shiva) Temple..with Sundareshwarar + Nandhi and Keraleeshwarar + Nandhi. One Amman (Vandaar Kuzhali or Vandaadum Poonguzhali)..The Nandhi of Keraleeswarar is in the mun-mandap and the horns when clipped with a finger sound as if touching a bell..Vandaar Kuzhali has a Jadai that looks so real..all this touch and feel was possible, as the temple remained uncared for so many centuries..no regular pooja..very recently TN Government included it in one-time daily pooja scheme..but, before that Chettiar families have started contributing towards regular pooja, annaabishekam, Pradhosham etc..Sundareshwarar Sannidhi is done later with Sembaraangal (Laterite stone, native to Chettinad) and its Nandhi stays outside and far away from the Deity. The Keraleeswarar Temple is the most ancient with pucca stone structure (that has been repaired in 2 periods with laterite and bricks, now the Gopuram in bricks make it look more like a mosque!)..Vandaar Kuzhali temple appears to have been added later by MR.PL family of Karaikudi and is in cement and brick work structure..a proper "Thala Puranam" is still to be unearthed..
