Prakrida Commerce 2.5

Prakrida has been conceived as a specialised, grass root, multi-branded sports goods retail store. The boutique of about 500sq feet is located in a niche and vibrant area of Bangalore’s central business district- Indiranagar.

Indiranagar has emerged as the premium dining and shopping areas of Bangalore. It also has a host of schools and colleges apart from IT parks. Further, it forms the north-south, east-west traffic corridor to the city. The store is about 100m from the famous 100ft road, 150m from the metro station and parallel to CMH road, with the CMH hospital 20m away.

Prakrida is my brain-child. My back ground of putting this boutique together is an outcome of experience, opportunity and passion. The store intends to serve both the budget and the professional buyers of sports goods, offering them a variety of choice for their budget and level of sport, while adding that ‘premium shopping experience’.

I have enjoyed several sports from a young age. My passion for football goes way back to 1982 when as a 14 year old, I trained as a football goal-keeper for a local club. Apart from playing the local C division for about 6 years, I have been involved in organising sports events, playing for college/organisation and part time coaching football to youngsters. I am also a player and administrator for a local amateur football club, consisting of 30 players.

After about 20 years of corporate life in airlines and airports, I have decided to take my interests to the next level in supporting sports initiatives, football to begin with.
