PMV Polytechnic,Mathura was founded by great patriot freedom fiethe raryan peshwa RAJA MAHENDRA PRATAP JI in 1909. at that time it was one of its own kind and one of the first POLYTECHNIC INSTITUDE in INDIA. PMV POLYTECHNIC MATHURA is situated at MATHURA VRINDAVAN road near BIRLA TEMPAL.it is 8 km away from mathura junction & 7 km from new Bus Stand. Three year diploma course in various streams of Engineering are running in PMV Polytechnic - Mathura. The streams are - Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical (Automobile) Engineering, Mechanical (Production) Engineering and Chemical (Petro) Engineering in two Shifts. The Second Shift is Self Financed course.

PMV Polytechnic - Mathura is spread over 27 acres of lush green area. The institute has an academic block, class rooms, drawing halls, workshop, different laboratories including well equipped computer laboratory, library, hostel accommodation, guest house, play ground, courts of different games and a residential campus. NCC, NSS and community polytechnic are also being run in PMV Polytechnic - Mathura. The institute is affiliated with Board of Technical Education, U.P., Lucknow and is governed by director, Technical education, U.P. Kanpur. All running courses are approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The Students are given admission in the institute after qualifying Joint Entrance Examination in order of merit.

PMV Polytechnic - Mathura is located at Vrindavan Road, Prem Nagar Mathura, Uttar Pradesh. Library is also available in PMV Polytechnic - Mathura for the students in which books of running disciplines with different authors. The information about books, journals/ Magazines and Reference Books as on Dated 20-05-2010. For more effective teaching learning process for the students LRUC is available in PMV Polytechnic - Mathura. The main objective of PMV Polytechnic - Mathura center is to keep touch with various new aspects related subjects through Video cassettes, OHP, etc.

PMV Polytechnic - Mathura provides games facilities for the students to keep fit and physically strong. In the institute games like Badminton, Table Tennis, and Volley Ball etc. is available. To conduct these games activities, the Institute has a playground and courts. There is also a NSS cell in PMV Polytechnic - Mathura. The main Function of this cell is to organize a camp in rural areas by the NSS volunteers to aware the rural people about various problems like social, sanitation, education, dowry etc. This Cell comprise of 1 platoon Engineer Company which is managed by the 1 UP Composite Technical Regiment, MNNIT Campus, Allahabad. The cell started its functioning from July 2004. From This cell, the students can get NCC ‘B’ and NCC ‘C’ certificates. PMV Polytechnic - Mathura provides Diploma program to the college students.

PMV Polytechnic - Mathura provides placement facility. In last year’s the students has placed in various Organizations. Several Students have been selected for their higher studies in various Engineering Colleges. The main function of the cell is to place the pass out students in reputed organizations like BNSL, BHEL, Railways, Larsen & Toubro, Tata Motors, Ashok Leyland, HCC, CSC Noida, etc.
