Pettai is an industrial sub urban area in Tirunelveli district, Tamil Nadu, India. It is located approximately seven kilometers west of downtown Tirunelveli along the Southern Railway line to Tenkasi.HistoryPettai actually got its name from the Vandi Pettais built by virudhunagar and sivakasi nadars.
