The Panchvati Temple located In Palwal is dedicated to the five mythological heroes – the Pandavas.

Panchwati Hanuman Mandir -- The Idol Of lord Hanuman Ji was Established by Pandavas. And there is also a Idol of Maa Durga which was Established by Draupadi.

It is believed that there was a demon named 'Palamba Sur' in 'Dwaper Yug'.

He was killed by Balram also known by 'Dau',elder brother of Lord Krishana. This city was his capital of this demon, so it was named Palwal.
