OXARO 2.97

La Martiniere College extra curricular organisation is an umbrella group made up of representatives of different co-curricular activities that function in the college.
OXARO is one such group that is a constituent of this.
Oxaro is a group pupils at La Martiniere College, Lucknow that draws its inspiration from the hard working animal, the Ox and its connotations of industry. The suffix -aro denotes a collection or group of things of the same kind.
Oxen can drag heavy loads and are indefatigable. They symoblise strength with steadiness. The OX is unafraid to be burdened by a yoke and can be well trained in comparison to other, more excitable pack animals.
The steady, hard-working boys of Oxaro have chosen this animal as their inspiration. They define their affiliation to La Martiniere College by including the seven fish pennants of the founder to their visual symbol.

The purpose of this organization is to provide students ,with an opportunity to organize Co-curricular events independently. We not only develop their administrative and leadership skills but also give them a platform to shine.
