RECYCLE LIFE” Organ Donation Awareness project was launched this year as one of the new Service project of Giants International at 41 Giants International convention at Ahmadabad at the hands of Film Actress Juhi Chawla, Finance Minster of Gujrat Hon Shri Surabhbhai Patel, Nana Chudasamaji, Shaina N C.
Our Vision is to promote long, healthy and productive lives for people with organ failure by taking up every opportunity for organ donation and thereby eliminating lengthy transplant waiting lists.
Our Mission is to save and enhance the lives of as many people as possible through organ and tissue donation by uniting and supporting our communities for the benefit of patients through education and policy development.
Each year, thousands of people die while waiting for an Organ transplant because no suitable donor can be found for them. In India organ donation rate is only 0.34 per million in a country of 1.3 billion people. Over the years, lack of awareness and enabling policies has made the matter worse. We GIANTS as a Social Organisation can make it simple and easy for people to designate their decisions to Pledge for Organ donation, we can take a lead role in motivating them by creating awareness among all communities on Organ donation and address the discrepancy between the demand and supply of organs.
