• Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation is established - 1st January 1992.

• It is the first Corporation in the country where direct Conversion of

village Gram Panchayat into Municipal Corportion.

• Area : 108.63 sq. kms. Population - More than 12 Lakhs

• NMMC has its own Morbe Dam having 450 MLD Capacity & supplying 24 x 7 Water Supply

• NMMC has developed best landfill sites in the country to handle solid waste in a scientific manner.

• NMMC has developed an Eco-Friendly basis ‘C' Tech 6 sewerage treatment plants totaling a capacity of 420 MLD to treat sewage to the extent that water obtained from it can be reused.

• Best educational Standard through primary & Secondary schools and Only Corporation in the country to start school for children with different abilities (etc).

• Establishment expenditure is only 10 % which is negligible as compared to other corporations.
