It is well connected to the rest of the country through the Indian Railways. The station is on the Tatanagar–Bilaspur section of Howrah-Nagpur-Mumbai line with daily connections to Mumbai, Kolkata, Pune, Nagpur, Puri, Vishakhapattnam and Ahmedabad.
