M.H. Saboo Siddik Institute (commonly known as MHSS or Saboo Siddik or Saboo) was established in 1936 with a mission to "disseminate a value-oriented quality education among the youth".

The institute reached a landmark when it started the degree college in 1984-85. Within a short span of time of its inception, this engineering college ranked as one of the good colleges of Mumbai, and is viewed as a symbol of national integration and secularism. The college has developed thousands of brilliant and innovative engineers who have contributed to the development of the country.
