Global Mining Industry is increasingly taking up the mantle of being a high-tech industry. The technology lag to be bridged through espousal of the state of the art equipment available. Mining industry is gearing up of itself based on new technology and a modern work organisation that supports methods of mining, high productivity and better working environment . There is need for a new holistic vision for the mines of the future.
With this background, Dept. of Mining Machinery Engineering, ISM, DHANBAD is organizing a national conference on mining equipments: new technologies, challenges and applications, MENTCA'15 during 9-10 October,2015
