ABOUT THE SCHOOL
The Agarwal Welfare Society (Regd.), Ashok Vihar, under the president ship of Mr. R.K.Sangal and its first Manager Shri O.P. Gupta founded the school on 10th April 1978. It was set up in the memory of the great saint Maharaja Agarsain, who was the founder of socialist democratic set-up as envisaged in the ancient civilization. The Agarwal Welfare Society, inspired by high ideals of great saint pioneered several social and charitable activities. Among them, imparting quality education to the children of Ashok Vihar and its surrounding areas was foremost on their agenda. It was through the endeavors of Mr. S.C. Gupta that school got a seal of recognition by the Education Department of Delhi Administration.

The main aim of this institution is to serve the weaker sections of the society. The School’s philosophy is to recognize and to encourage talent of all kinds, and of all degrees. It also stresses to develop fluency in the use of English and Hindi and to foster enjoyment of all the processes of communication, oral, written or visual. The school is known for its excellent board results. The real achievement is that we admit average students and give outstanding results. The school follows Grading System of Examination as proposed by C.B.S.E. The open and close Book Examination system is followed from classes III to VIII to rid the students of examination trauma and to improve the performance of the students without making learning a drudgery.

The institution is not an edifice of stone but a temple of learning, made glorious by the teacher architects. With the vision of empowering students and energizing their souls, the activities in our Yearly Planner are designed to create students who are well-informed, independent of thought with a sensitive heart. Students actively participate in House and club activities. The modern infrastructure of the school supports the activity oriented learning completely. The fee is moderate in keeping with the simple living and high thinking motto of the Agarwal Welfare Society.

Regular Value Education classes are being held in the school to instill moral and spiritual values among students. Orientations, sessions with experts, symposia, Motivational Presentations, Workshops are organized for the teachers as well as for the learners. The school takes its social responsibility seriously and therefore many activities are organized to develop in the school a caring community exercising concern and respect for the Welfare of others and emphasizing the overriding importance of good human relations based upon sensitivity, tolerance and goodwill. The school is an active member of various social and charitable organizations such as Interact and Eco Club and collaborates regularly with Rotary Club, SOS, Cancer Aid Society, Red Cross Society of India etc. A number of activities are conducted under these organizations to integrate social work, community service and the spirit of social awareness with the syllabus.
