First, nothing like a few facts to put things in perspective. There are 158.8 million children of age group below 6 in India. 5 out of every 10 children do not go to schools, are impoverished, malnourished and crippled by a glaring lack of community support.
One thing is for sure, there can never be too many people taking up this cause. And a coordinated effort by a student group can work wonders. We have found a treasure of delight in working alongside these little wonders for the past many months, and can proudly say we have made a difference.
Little Seva is a little step towards helping such children live their dreams. A small student group which has now expanded manifold and is still growing with time. Little Seva works towards making a positive difference in the lives of these children through a student supported group and assists various schools and orphanages that work towards the same goal.
But this is by no means even close to fulfilling the social potential of a vast student network. If all students were to contribute, there are hundreds of ways in which this can be done, and nothing can be easier or more satisfying-all the problems hampering the nation’s future hopes will be staring in the face of a revolution.
