Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple located on the hill, Giddalur . This temple is famous in Giddalur surroundings places. The Name of Giddalur original name is Siddalur. The place Giddalur given by Nandana Chakravarthi(Srivasta Gotraja) to (Nandana Varika dynasty’s) Kunchala Sivappa. The name “Siddalur” changed as Griddalur. After some time it will called as Giddalur. After the period of Krishna devaraya the Giddalur comes under the Kadapa district in British ruling. After the dividing Kadapa, Kurnool, other districts Giddalur combined in Kurnool district. After some time Ongole or Prakasamdistrict born in 1971. Giddalur belongs to Ongole district.
