Kunal Restaurant is unique amongst the 500+ restaurants in Ahmedabad.

It is one of the City’s oldest ‘eating-houses’, serving authentic multi-cuisine fare. The restaurant was founded in 1978 by Yudhvir Meni – a passionate, food-loving Punjabi.

This true-blue hard-working entrepreneur, transformed his passion for food into a commercial venture by establishing Kunal Restaurant, which served home-made Punjabi and South-Indian dishes. He was the pioneer in launching samosas and chhole with a pure North-Indian taste. These were amongst his most popular dishes – wholesome and full of earthy flavours. Over time, the restaurant became such a favourite, that it started attracting diners from throughout the state.

The 70's and 80's saw Kunal grow from strength to strength. It expanded several times, to meet the increasing demand for its specialist cuisine. The restaurant became very popular for catering during marriage parties, opening ceremonies, birthdays… All at very reasonable prices too. Amongst its clients, are: IIM, AMA, AMC, Tata Teleservices, Indian Overseas Bank, Dena Bank, BPCL, IOC, NABARD, CII and Adani Exports.

Kunal is one of the oldest restaurants in Ahmedabad. And is seen by many in the Industry, as one of the first to introduce North-Indian cuisine to the City.
