Kovvur is a town in West Godavari district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is a municipality and the mandal headquarters of Kovvur mandal in Kovvur revenue division.EtymologyThis Town was earlier referred as Govur.GeographyKovvuru is situated on the west bank of the Godavari River, at a distance of 92km from the district headquarters, Eluru.
