The main task of this office is to promote trade, investment and technological cooperation between the enterprises of Karnataka province and the rest of the world through the Independent Honorary KRETO Advisors located globally. Our services, free of charge, include the following:
• Provide authoritative statistics and information on economy, investment and trade concerning Karnataka State
• Act as a Consultant on investment environment, laws, regulations and policies in Karnataka State.
• Introduction and recommendation of Karnataka partners and locations for foreign companies to make investments in Karnataka.
• Organizing and arranging on-the-spot survey and discussions for investment projects in Karnataka State.
• Providing market advice and research for special investment Projects.
• Organizing and sponsoring various seminars on technological, economic, investment and trade cooperation for enterprises in Karnataka and various parts of the world.
• Organizing enterprises to participate in various international trade fairs regularly held in Karnataka State and across the globe.

• To co-operate & provide opportunities to the NRIs residing outside the country and to enhance and develop the literary and cultural activities through KRETO.
• To formulate and implement programmes necessary to achieve further development in the fields of Tourism, IT / BT, Science / Technology and Research in the State with the co-operation of foreign missions thereby co-ordinating faster and quicker results for both investors and missions.

• To establish a Knowledge and Skill Bank in the state for the benefit of foreign missions and other international agencies.

• To encourage foreign missions to participate in development programmes pertaining to academic and related spheres in the State and also conduct business road shows/conferences from time to time.

• To encourage foreign investors through KRETO to invest in industries and infrastructure projects in the State.

• Promoting and assisting Karnataka based companies in making investments in the world and co-ordinating with all chambers of commerce of different countries in the State for efficient networking through its interactive web portal.
In addition to the Headquarters in Bengaluru, there are representative offices represented by KRETO executives who are established in Paris/France, New York/USA, London/UK, Rotterdam/the Netherlands ，Tokyo, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Stockholm/Sweden and Moscow/Russia, Dubai/UAE, Riyadh/KSA, Talinn/Estonia, Djibouti, Kigali/Rwanda, Sarajevo/Bosnia, Zurich/Switzerland, Rabat/Morocco, Algeria, Egypt and various other countries.
